Jared Seide (Director/Producer/Screenwriter/"Jack")

{short description of image} began his professional acting career on the New York stage at age ten and worked as an actor in thirty-five Off- and Off-Off-Broadway plays before leaving New York City for Brown University. He appeared on soap operas and numerous commercials and studied acting and dance extensively. He graduated from Brown with high academic honors and spent two years in London, studying theatre with teachers from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In England, Jared appeared in two productions on the London Fringe, for which he received much critical praise

Since moving to Los Angeles, Jared has acted in theatrical productions at the Mark Taper Forum, the Los Angeles Theatre Center and the Cast Theatre, among others. Recently, Jared starred in AMERICAN BUFFALO at the Tiffany Theatre and SOME MEN NEED HELP at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, a successful and celebrated production in which Jared's depiction of the complex and co-dependent Gaetano Altobeli drew particular critical raves ("...It is Seide's Gaetano that carries the evening. Seide has every molecule of the character down pat... Seide works wonders covering the gamut of Gaetano's intricate emotions beautifully while still paying strict attention to his rhythm and cadences."). Jared received similarly glowing reviews for his work in the recent two-character independent feature, ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS, which critics have said "hits every mark... smart, witty, intelligent work from two remarkable actors." Jared has also made numerous television guest appearances (including Miami Vice, Roseanne, Dream On, Homefront and several Movies of the Week).

Jared has directed more than twenty-five plays in theatres in New York, London, Los Angeles and Providence, RI. CREAMPUFF and a music video for FORGET HER, the song that appears in the projected version of the short, represent his first projects as a film director. After CREAMPUFF wrapped, Jared wrote, directed and produced (along with Mary McDonough) a series of educational/industrial films, cautionary tales for the commercial vehicle industry, one of which, THE BIG SUITCASE, has already won several prestigious awards at film festivals and industry events. Jared's current feature film project is a psychological espionage noir-thriller set in 1942, Zurich, which he wrote with Josh Bazell and will direct in Europe, entitled UNCERTAINTY.
